The incredibly popular Brighton based music festival The Great Escape commissioned Edge and Barrett back in 2011 to create a whole new brand, appealing to the fresh, young, open-minded music goers and modern music consumers. Edge and Barrett designed a logo in keeping with the key ‘cool music’ brief, and created the shadow device to uphold the ‘epic event’ identity The Great Escape wanted to convey, whilst providing a instantly recognizable brand to use on merchandise and promotional material.
